The “Mejance” is a fundamental musical style for Egyptian-style dancers. This performance allows you to present yourself, establish a connection with your audience, demonstrate your expertise in various styles and rhythms, and most importantly, convey your unique personality. Through the “Mejance”, dancers can showcase their technical skills, musicality, and emotional expression.

Latin-Bellydance Fusion

Reggaeton-Bellydance Fusion

Latin Bellydance Fusion by Angel Bellydance

Bring the FIESTA to your Bellydance!
Angel will utilize some of the most basic steps in Latin Dance and fuse these steps into a sassy Bellydance combo. We will also discuss how to identify the Latin rhythm(s) used in this workshop. Identifying rhythms in Latin dance is just as important as identifying various rhythms in Bellydance (Latin rhythms and steps include Salsa, Cha-Cha-Cha, Merengue, Rumba, Samba, and more).

Both of Angel’s Latin and Bellydance techniques are quite useful for all dancers who wish to be more versatile and wish to achieve that “polished” look we all desire in our dancing such as elegant posture, sharp isolations, clean arm stylizations, basic shimmies, easy to follow traveling steps, drills and combos.
Bring your water and towel and be prepared to sweat!

Reggaeton-Bellydance Fusion by Angel Bellydance

Take it from a dancer who's REALLY BEEN CAST IN MULTIPLE Reggaeton videos for legendary Reggaeton artists such as Don Omar, Calle 13, Tego Calderon, Hector the Father, Zion y Lennox, Divino, Angel y Kris Las Guanabans...and more! This dynamic workshop (which happens to be Angel's most popular regular on-line class) is designed for the intermediate or advanced bellydancer who is now looking for versatility in her bellydance repertoire.

Did you know that Reggaton has its very own rhythm which is almost identical to a popular commonly danced rhythm in raks sharki? Did you know said rhythm has its own name? Can you tell the difference between Reggaeton of the 90's, early 2000's and now? Do you know the birthplace of Reggaeton and how it came to be? Not only will all of these fun facts be taught during this exciting intensive, but be prepared to DANCE YOUR HEART OUT while Angel shares her unique take on fusing the basic Bellydance movements and technique into the world-wide popuolar Latin rhythm of Reggaeton! This sexy blend of Reggaeton, Bellydance and a pinch of Latin flair will definitely leave you thinking outside of the box and broaden your versatility skills by the end of the workshop. This opportunity will not only include a varity of dynamic combos and strengthening drills, but also include learning to identifying the rhythm and understanding its powerful culture and rich history. In addition, be prepared for LOTS of sweating and smiles as all of Angel’s workshops are a down to earth environment filled with joy, love and laugher!

Angel truly enjoys sharing the joy of dancing this juicy music without letting go of the love we have for bellydancing.

Cultura Ancestral Loiceña (Bomba)

Workshop: Cultura Ancestral Loiceña

Learn to talk with your body what your mind and heart feels (past, present and future) through Loíza's exclusive rhythm. With the Seis Corrido you describe bodily experiences and personal emotions. With El Corve you show determination of the emotional course that concludes your liberation from struggle and resistance regarding your intention. Through Singing, the playing of the “Bomba” drums (“barriles”) and Dancing, a communication beyond what is physical is created. It is your senses, connected deep into your mind and heart.
